Golden Boy Live returns March 17

While the Monday Night Football season came to a close several months ago, there is essentially no season for Golden Boy Live & Monday night boxing. Oscar De La Hoya’s promotional company has done fantastic things for the sport of boxing, perhaps more than anyone in the past 5 years, & that includes bringing boxing to a regular network on Monday nights. Fox Sports is the host of several great match ups that will take place live from the House of Blues in Boston in what is being billed as “Saint Patrick’s Day Night at the Fights.”

Undefeated middleweight Julian Williams will headline the main event against former IBF Middleweight Champion Freddy Hernandez. Irishman Jamie Kavanaugh will also square off against Andres Navarro, Alexis Santos vs Sylvester Barron, & John Joe Nevin, also irish, will face Alberto Candeleria. While some of the names on the card are relatively young in their careers, watching Golden Boy Live is one of the best ways to become familiar with some of the young, up & coming talent in boxing. The likes of U.S. olympian Eerol Spence have fought on the Monday night broadcast as Golden Boy looks to continue the resurgence of the sport.
